For those that have not met me I am Calli the Beautiful Bengal that resides and owns the staff at the Griffith Veterinary Hospital. I am of firm belief that the people in blue whom seem to work here could not possibly cope without my antics. Therefore it gives me great pleasure to introduce Calli’s Corner a Blog so to speak of my daily adventures.
I have recently been subjected to sharing my surrounding with a litter of Kittens looking for homes, this although displeased me greatly from the outset has proved to be quite entertaining. I quite enjoy playing duck, duck, goose with them and since they are not nearly as athletic as me nor as poised with graceful moves I often win at this game, yes I am a winner… They are also quite short and cannot reach my throne bed upon the cabinet, there is always solitude there for me when the antic s become tedious and believe me they do. It appears they could play for hours, perhaps their time could be better spend if I employed them to pamper me and tend to my every need.. yes yes they could be valuable.
A lovely man appeared to deliver a bag of goodies today, which I am certain were for me but were lacking greatly in objects I desire such as cat nip, toys and treats. I shall let the people in blue eat these chocolates this time but I expect that next time they make clients aware that I must watch my beautiful figure and cannot indulge in chocolates. Cat Nip would be far more entertaining and make my day much more puurrfect.
Well I have given you a snippet of my day, time now calls for a nap I have been active almost an hour now.. must regroup for the day ahead..
So these kittens seem to be learning how to train the people in blue, but how could they not? They have learnt from the best…. For example we have had a lady called Bianca working with us for a few months, the other people in blue say that she is a vet nurse in training. Well I’m not sure how much of that is true but I can agree that myself and the eight minion kittens have trained her on the appropriate courtesy to the Cat. I do find it quiet impressive that we are worshipped here, I have witnessed Bianca, kneeling on the floor to get to the computer rather than disturb the kittens sleeping on the chair. Well played Kittens, well played.
There is one day of the week where boxes come to the clinic, yes they have stuff in them, but once the people in blue take that out, we are play
Another week rolls around and as I gaze upon the ridiculous antics of the kittens I reflect….
I am managing to keep the people in blue trained….. I am quite pleased with myself. I particularly like the Irish one Maria, she provides me with cheese treats on command. I simply prompt her by meowing loudly and walking to the fridge. She seems relatively smart, however if she does not understand I enter the fridge in protest so the door cannot be closed… Yes, it is cold yes but a girl’s got to do what a girl’s got to do….
I do not like the dog. Well, I can tolerate her, most of the time she sleeps under the desk and seems to just take up space. However she is not always a complete potato, she does seem to have some intelligence. She does know when I prompt the people in blue for cheese that she will also follow us to the fridge. Then she demands cheese! I do the hard work while she lies around converting oxygen to carbon dioxide! The indignity of it all! Must work on plan to get rid of the dog…
OH so you would never believe it! The manager Nicole, well I say that lightly we all know that I am clearly the Boss in this place...She ordered some treats, a giant box of them and the labels were in that pretty blue. Ps Blue is now my favourite colour as blue people = treat dispensers… So all of these treats, I was sure they were for me, but I have been told again they are just for dogs! Just for Dogs?! Why did we buy them then? That’s just racist against cats, I am appalled.. I am going to write to the feminists maybe they can help get me in touch with a feline activist group, so we can end the world of this Cat Racism or Catism as I have dubbed it. I must begin my letter, although it shall be hard to write with no opposable thumbs, perhaps I shall dictate to Maria.
Perhaps I will mention any ways or means of getting rid of the dog too…
So these kittens seem to be learning how to train the people in blue..May I add… they have learnt from the best…. For example we have had a lady called Bianca working with us for a few months, the other people in blue say that she is a vet nurse in training. Well I’m not sure how much of that is true but I can agree that myself and the eight minion kittens, have trained her on the appropriate courtesy to the Cat. I do find it quite impressive that we are worshipped here, I have witnessed Bianca, kneeling on the floor to get to the computer rather than disturb the kittens sleeping on the chair. Well played Kittens, well played.
We seem to be having quite a few guests lately there was another young girl here whom also tended to my needs for about a week called Alex, she was apparently a school girl, so I was asked to be nice to her and not too demanding. Demanding? Me? Never! She did not bother me much, but once again my thankyou gift was chocolate and a card. I gave it to the people in blue, I must watch my slender figure, a fat clinic cat would simply not do..
One of the ‘vet’ people as the people in blue call them visited with her cat last week. The cat ‘Ghost’ stayed at the clinic with me and had free roam.. yes people I had to share not only with kittens but an adult cat. She is quite a strange natured critter, I noticed her playing with a clump of hair and one stage and she seemed to get hours of enjoyment out of it.. Nice girl don’t get me wrong but a little simple… I prefer the finer things my four poster bed, expensive cat kibble and cheese, oh do I love some cheese, so I’m not going to fight you for a lump of fluff you can have that one kiddo…
The dog… oh my, I feel that she should at least hold her position within the hierarchy. I am first obviously and she is last, but she has moved down the line by 8 positions now, yes she is below the kittens.. The kittens actually sit upon her like she is a chair and suck on her fur, she does nothing? Just lies there with a blank sleepy look on her face… quite sad really, poor brainless creature, perhaps she has given up hope of being the ‘top dog’ and resided to the indignation of overgrown floor matt. Sad for her, still happy enough to raid on my cheese time though..
I have been quite busy of late so forgive my absence of blogging so to speak my friends.
The Christmas New Year period has been quite busy for m...e and the people in blue. I have decided that it is one of my favourite times of the year since I have received so many gifts and cards, I continue to receive chocolates as well once again they bore me but the people in blue seem to enjoy them. The sugar high chocolates induce is quite interesting to watch I may add.
Over the Christmas period I noticed the people in wearing strange headgear which looked not dissimilar to a cat toy. I took great pleasure in playing with these bouncing reindeer and Santa hats. The people did not approve of this... I thought they were just wearing them to entertain me...apparently not it would seem....
I have noticed the kitten numbers depleting it would seem that some have been adopted. I still have four minions to serve me within the clinic though. One of them 'alfie' I believe his name is has made friends with the potato dog it seems. Yes sad it would seem I have lost a minion to a vegetable...
The people in blue fuss greatly over how cute it is when this kitten snuggles with the dog. I don't know why? I mean I would if I didn't fear that she would drool on me and ruin tireless hours of grooming. Gross....
I have found a new hobby, every week there seems to be a delivery of boxes. The people in blue empty them then I get to enjoy the comfort and security within the boxes. Love it! Although the kittens tend to spend there time destroying them.
My fans thanks for reading...
This week has been filled with celebrations, none that revolved around me which is quite disappointing but I have made attempts to express my good nature to those that the festivities revolved around.
For example, it was Nicole's birthday on Tuesday. I partook of filling out the birthday card admittedly I didn't express fondness or love like the dog, but I felt "Meow or whatever, Queen Calli" was an acceptable birthday message. I also tried re adjusting the flo...wer arrangement given to Nicole.... No she did not approve. Nor did she approve when I threw up some of the foliage on her paperwork... Seriously what's a cat gotta do? I also pushed the orchid off the table once that was given to her by Maria and Cherry, again this was not appreciated. Nobody gives me flowers 💐🐈
The potato dog even delivered the card to Nicole by having it tied to her collar, Nicole was so surprised and made such a fuss over Holly. I could of done that... But I'm not about to degrade myself to running errands like that...
Well then Cherrys dog "Pebbles" had her birthday. Dog treats galore I tell you! All the dogs then wore party hats, for a moment they thought to put one on my head, but I gave them a look, you know that look that only a cat can do that says 'if you even try to put that I my head someone is going to get hurt', needless to say they reframed from such things.. The only thing I wear on my head is a crown..
The other interesting thing that's happening in the clinic is renovations. We now have all these extra rooms to explore which is quite entertaining. I have been leading the investigation party with my minion kittens and we all agree that the new rooms are clearly only built for our entertainment...
This week will have to be all about me I feel 🐈🐈🐈🐈
