About This Role

As a Veterinary Student\Professional, you already have an idea of the day-to-day jobs and requirements of being a great Veterinarian. Here are just a few of the key tasks that you will be contributing to together with the rest of our team

  • Examine and triage pets to promptly diagnose their short and long term health issues
  • Consult clients and refer them the best solutions-based pet care and treatment.
  • Wide range of surgeries (From soft tissue to Orthopedic)

About You

  • You genuinely care for pets, respect the clients and your fellow team members and the work you do.
  • You have an enquiring and inquisitive mind
  • You understand the importance of attention to detail and documentation
  • You must be available for emergencies and critical care for after-hour cases.
  • You have a great sense of humour as an add-on to your great communication skills.

Our Offer

  • A base salary of $60K- $80k (depending on your experience) + Bonus + Benefits

What are we looking for in you?

Candidates should hold their certificate IV in Veterinary Nursing and experience is essential.

Good written and verbal communication skills, a positive attitude and the ability to multi-task while working under pressure is a MUST.

You need to be able to work well in a team as well as complete tasks individually.

You should be the 4 C’s (cheerful, calm, cool and collected), bright, bubbly, a clean freak (we love when the clinic is sparkling) and an avid coffee drinker (because who can live without coffee in our industry?)

Bonus Points to applicants who:
• Have experience running puppy school
• Grooming or willingness to learn

WANTED: Super Hero Veterinarian CAPE PROVIDED

 Role: Super Hero Veterinarian, the cape will be provided

Feature: Action and reality all in one

Location: a desirable veterinary practice in Cootamundra NSW

Essential for the role: you don’t need superhuman strength or know-how to fly but you should have an extraordinary passion for animals and the desired to help people enjoy pets as much as we do.

You must be a quick thinker and have the necessary surgical and medical knowledge and skills for this action-packed role.

A fun and positive personality and the ability to keep your audience are essential. The ability to adlib for the occasional on scene twist would be great. engaged

Stunts and equipment: equipment for your use on hand are but certainly not limited to

  • Digital radiography
  •  Full surgical suite
  • Endoscopy and ultrasound
  • Dental IM3
  • In-house blood machine
  • Computerised RX Works systems linked between satellite practices
  • Practice vehicle
  • Plus all the usual mod cons, otoscopes, woods lamps, steths etc

Paid to appear: you will be paid a generous base salary ranging from $60,000-$100,000 based on previous appearances and superhero skills.

But wait there’s more!  In addition to the base salary we provide you with paid vacation, personal and continued education leave and when you are away we call in a stunt double. Services and product discounts offered to all your superhero pets and your family’s pets.

 We are closed all major holidays and on-call and weekend work is limited so you can make the most of our long weekends. Some weekday on-call may be required when your compatriots are away. To ensure you make the most of life outside of work you are only rostered 4 days a week!!
