Veterinary Nurse - Part Time

Want to work with experienced veterinary professionals who empower nurses to grow and actually let them "do stuff"? How about a supportive team who value your mental health and wellness? If you are a motivated nurse who wants to utilize your knowledge and skills on a daily basis - Griffith Veterinary Hospital is the place for you!

An exciting opportunity has become available at Australian Veterinary Hospitals Group for a permanent part-time Small Animal Veterinary Nurse to join our team. Our Team
We strongly believe the adage that “it takes a village” and support each other in the workplace wherever needed. Although our work is important and can be challenging, we don’t take ourselves too seriously, and a great sense of humour as an add-on to your veterinary skills would certainly be appreciated. You will be entering an exceptional, trustworthy work team and a healthy, friendly work environment.

About You
To grow and be successful in this role you will ideally bring the following:
    • Cert IV in Veterinary Nursing or equivalent.

    • The ability to deal with adversity and take responsibility (to strive for outcomes, be accountable and make things happen).
    • Have spirit and be kind. We foster a culture that values diversity, inclusion and having a little fun!

The Offer
    • Working with a wide range of experienced veterinarians that encourage you to learn different techniques and skills.
    • Becoming part of a team that is passionate about the veterinary profession providing “compassionate & reassuring veterinary care” whilst promoting pet wellbeing.
    • Access to all of our monitoring and patient care equipment!
    • The opportunity to join our leadership growth program – an annual, all expenses paid working retreat which focuses on team culture, professional and personal development.
    • Multiple training shifts with Senior Nurses and members of our management team to ensure you have a smooth, positive and successful transition.
    • Experience in assisting in all different fields of surgical nursing including dental, routine, ophthalmology, orthopaedic, emergency and soft tissue surgical procedures.
