Dr. Mark Sayer

Practice Owner & Veterinarian
Mark Sayer

I graduated from Sydney University in 1983, marking the start of a long and rewarding career in veterinary medicine. After gaining experience in various clinics around Sydney, I made the move to Wagga where I opened Berry Street Veterinary Hospital and Junee Vet Clinic. Over the next 18 years, alongside a dedicated team of nurses, we worked hard to serve our local communities, including making weekly visits to outlying towns to ensure animals in remote areas received the veterinary care they needed.

Today, I am proud to work across several veterinary hospitals, including Kooringal Vet Hospital, Junee Vet Hospital, Federation Vet Hospital in Corowa, Temora Veterinary Hospital, Cooper St Veterinary Hospital in Cootamundra, and Griffith Vet Hospital. This diverse experience allows me to continue providing exceptional care to pets and deepen my relationships with clients across the region.

Outside of work, I enjoy refereeing "the real football" (soccer), and I’m constantly working on improving my golf swing. While I am qualified to referee in the A-League, I admit that age and fitness have made me more of a fan these days than an active referee!

My passion for veterinary care extends beyond traditional practices. I completed Veterinary Chiropractic training in Germany and have recently expanded my skills in surgery and medical care for marsupials, earning the loyalty of clients who travel from across Australia to consult with me. I am also currently finishing my MBA and Masters of Marketing at Deakin University, equipping myself with the business knowledge needed to continue growing in my career.

At home, I am supported by my wonderful wife, Jaimie, and we are proud parents to seven children. Our household is also filled with love and joy from our many pets, which always keep life interesting and full of energy.

I feel incredibly fortunate to have built a career doing what I love, surrounded by a fantastic team, loyal clients, and the support of my family and pets. It’s been an incredibly fulfilling journey, and I look forward to the next chapter of growth and service to the veterinary community.
