Mark Sayer

Dr. Mark Sayer

Practice Owner & Veterinarian

I graduated from Sydney University in 1983, marking the start of a long and rewarding career in veterinary medicine. After gaining experience in various clinics around Sydney, I made the move to Wagga where I opened Berry Street Veterinary Hospital and Junee Vet Clinic. Over the next 18 years, alongside a dedicated team of nurses, we worked hard to serve our local communities, including making weekly visits to outlying towns to ensure animals in remote areas received the veterinary care they needed.

I started working for Dr. Mark while I was at high school in the '90s and left in 2000 to embark on a few new adventures and start a family. In 2008 I returned in the role of the veterinary nurse and shortly after to the position I am in now.

Samantha

Samantha Blomeley

Registered Head Veterinary Nurse

Hi I’m Sam!

I have lived in Griffith my entire life and grew up on a farm surrounded by a wide variety of animals. From rabbits, guinea pigs, chickens and parrots to cats, dogs, and horses, caring for animals has always been a central part of my life. I even bred alpacas as both pets and herd guard. This upbringing sparked a lifelong passion for animal care.

Today, my own animal family includes a Staffy named Hunter, a Toy Poodle named Monte, a Ragdoll cross named Panther, and a Galah named Flame.

Veterinary Nurse

Hi I’m Tash. I grew up in a little place called Hillston which is where my love for animals began. I was always saving things growing up, the odd bird, kitten, lamb, etc., including some that didn't actually need saving but I thought I’d pretend they did anyway and bring them home.

Shonell

Shonell Gullotta

Veterinary Nurse

Hi, I'm Shonell,

I graduated from my Veterinary Nursing degree in 2013 in Perth, WA.

My first five years as a nurse were spent in a 24-hour emergency clinic, where I gained invaluable experience in fast-paced, critical care. Wanting to step away from night shift work and build stronger relationships with clients and their pets, I then moved into a Head Nurse role at a general practice hospital.

After spending 10 years in Perth, I decided it was time to return to my hometown of Griffith and reconnect with family and friends.

Gary

Gary

Clinic Cat & Hair Model

Hi there, my name is Gary (a.k.a. Gazman).

I’m a black-and-white long-haired moggie who was once homeless, until the Griffith Vet staff realised I was far too handsome and important to be living on the streets. Naturally, they offered me permanent accommodation at the clinic, and I’ve been running the place ever since.

Calli Girl

In Loving Memory of Calli, Our Beloved Clinic Cat

Clinic Cat & Front Office Manager (Diploma of Purrfect Cat)

It is with heavy hearts that we say farewell to our dear clinic cat, Calli. Our 13-year-old Bengal, recently diagnosed with cancer, fought bravely, but as the disease spread rapidly, we knew it was time to let her go and spare her further suffering.

Heidi

In Loving Memory of Heidi

Clinic Dog & Food Critic

It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved Heidi, our giant in-house snuggle bug, goofy companion, and fluffy storm of a dog.

Heidi was a friendly, familiar face who touched the hearts of many—clients, staff, friends, and family alike. She selflessly donated life-saving blood to several critically ill patients and was always ready for a cuddle, a pat, a scratch behind the ear, or simply to sit on your feet.

Though she will be greatly missed, Heidi will never be forgotten. Now, she runs free over the rainbow bridge, forever in our hearts. 🌈💕
